A Road Trip Through Waterfall Valley - Days 4 & 5

A Road Trip Through Waterfall Valley - Days 4 & 5

F. El Diamante Journey

Today I went off the beaten track into a very unique adventure. Probably one of the best I’ve experienced in Costa Rica, so far. I made my way back to San Isidro and took a detour down Las Tumbas road. Road is fairly even and easy to drive through and right when you get to the local town center, you’ll see Pacific Journey’s Reception Office and desk.

This experience needs to be booked and guided, but the experience is worth it for those looking for a stay well off the beaten path. You can choose whether to visit for a day trip or spend the night inside a cave just behind one of Costa Rica’s tallest waterfalls.

G. San Luis Waterfalls

Off the road, hidden within the mountains of the Valley, you can reach San Luis Waterfalls which directions are somewhat hard to give, but with a GPS, getting there shouldn’t be a problem (otherwise click the link below to get there). This waterfall sits just next to the road, however the view is worth a visit. Since it’s not an established tour spot, the experience is more about discovering this waterfall than visiting it. I’d probably advice a 30 minute visit, or perhaps you can sit down, relax and grab something to eat (bring your own food, though, as there are no places to eat, nearby).
